Review Process
EEE J-ERM uses a single-anonymous manuscript review process. Reviewer identities are not disclosed to authors; at least two independent domain experts evaluate each manuscript.
Invitation

You receive an invitation from the Associate Editor via IEEE ScholarOne. Review the title and abstract to confirm scope fit and availability before accepting.
Review
02
Access the full manuscript through ScholarOne. Evaluate scientific quality, novelty, clarity, and scope. Complete your review within three weeks of accepting the assignment.
Recommendation

Submit your detailed comments and recommendation (Accept, Major Revision, Minor Revision, or Reject). The handling Associate Editor will add their comments and make the decision recommendation to the editor-in-chief. The editor-in-chief is responsible for all final decisions.
Review criteria
Conflict of Interest Policy
Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest and recuse themselves if they have recently co-authored with the submitting authors, are at the same institution, or hold any relationship that could bias their assessment. All manuscripts are treated as strictly confidential and must not be shared with third parties without explicit editorial approval.
Review Criteria Include
- Scientific originality and novelty
- Technical correctness and rigor
- Clarity and organization of the manuscript
- Appropriate for the scope of IEEE J-ERM
- Potential impact of the work
- Quality and appropriateness of figures, table, and other supporting material
- Quality and sufficiency of references
Review Process
- Reviews are single-anonymous (reviewers know author names)
- Typical review deadline is 3 weeks from assignment
- Reviewers may request additional experiments or clarifications
- Confidentiality of submissions must be strictly maintained
Volunteer as a Reviewer
IEEE J-ERM relies on the generosity of the research community to maintain its peer review quality. Qualified researchers with expertise in electromagnetics, bioelectromagnetics, RF/microwave engineering, or related biomedical disciplines are welcome to express their interest in serving as reviewers.
